When the new year rolls around it’s typically a time for goal setting so today I wanted to share a few or the fitness related goals that I have for 2024, and they may not entirely be what you are thinking.
5 Workouts Per Week
This isn’t really a new thing for me, but my goal is to continue to get at least 5 workouts per week in. I know that I feel better when I’m moving and ultimately that is what fuels this goal for me. Although there are going to be days when I don’t feel like doing anything I intend to remind myself consistently that I feel better when I’m moving! Find your why and use it to remind yourself of why you are commiting to your movement.

Increase Strength
My biggest goal related to fitness is always to increase strength and muscle mass. It’s something that I’ve been working on for years and something that I will continue to emphasize in 2024. Resistance training is a huge part of my routine and I intend to continue to make it the largest part of my movement routine through 2024 to make sure that I’m getting stronger each and every day.
Practice Mobility Regularly
Here’s the first one that will be more difficult for me. I’ve always struggled to practice mobility regularly, but in 2024 we are committing to practicing it more consistently and regularly. I’ve already started to implement it more, but I intend to focus on bringing this into the movement routine more and more throughout 2024.

Adjust Workouts to Energy Levels
This is one that I’ve often struggled with and one that I feel like a lot of people could benefit from. In 2024, my intention is to adjust my workouts to match my energy level on any given day. Instead of doing nothing because my energy level is down, I intend to find something that still allows me to move while matching a lower energy level when required.
